ROD and Weekly programs.

Please be sure to note your ROD date and get me an updated bio and your program particulars as early as possible. I need this at least one week in advance.

Note new color, same message.

Interesting Program

Another good one! Dynda could talk forever, I think. We often forget that are judges are regular folks held to a higher standard. And she apparently lives up to it!

Thanks to those who served.

A horrific omission from those who worked at the Vinita Clean-up. Merle Dixon was there early and did his part. At least I think he did. Hi and Jack N. questioned his actual value but at least he showed up. Thanks again to all who helped out!

Service Above Self.

Have you noticed that every bill that comes out of Congress is at least 1,000 pages long? Seems interesting that often they vote on something they haven’t read. Seems they have forgotten the word “concise”, doesn’t it?

PROGRAM

Rotarian of the Day: Mark Curnutte

Mark was born in Vinita in 1954 – the same year his parents, Bill and Genevieve, founded C&L Supply. During the 70’s, Mark earned degrees in accounting and law from the University of Oklahoma. Following graduation, he worked in public accounting and practiced law in Tulsa before coming home in 1984.

Mark met his wife, Lou Ann, in law school. They have two children, Meredith and Amelia. Meredith is a graduate of the OU College of Law, and is an Assistant District Attorney in Tulsa County. Amelia will be starting her third year at OU this fall.

Mark’s achievements include listings in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law and the Oklahoma Super Lawyers magazine. He is a member of the Oklahoma and American Bar Associations, Past President of the Oklahoma Bar Foundation, and a Fellow of the Oklahoma Bar Foundation, the American Bar Foundation, and the American College of Trust and Estate Council. Mark has been a member of the Vinita Rotary Club for nearly 25 years, served as President in 1988-89, and is a Paul Harris Fellow.

Today’s Program

Todays program will be presented by Aaron Brown. He works for TARC that is an advocacy agency based in Tulsa. They have a network of programs that they offer individuals and families who have developmental disabilities such as autism, downs syndrome and other cognitive disabilities. One of their volunteer programs, OK-Aim, utilizes volunteers statewide to be trained to assess quality of life of individuals with disabilities.
