Bob Young was born in Vinita, and graduated from Vinita High School & N.E. Technology in 1978. In 1979, he went to work for Bartgis Chevrolet as a body man. He joined Cable One in 1988. Don Daniels was Bob's sponsor in 2002. Bob is married to Lahona and they have two children, Scott & Kevin Young. Bob’s hobbies include hunting, fishing and golf.

Each year, the Red Cross President proclaims March as "Red Cross Month" to raise public awareness and encourage support of the organization through donations of time, money and blood.
