Rotarian of the Day . . . Steven Chase

Steven Chase was born in Vinita, Oklahoma at Craig General Hospital and is the son of Jay and Betty Chase. He is a graduate of Vinita High School and played both football and baseball for the Hornets. Both Steven's grandfather and father played football for the Hornets. After graduating from VHS, Steven attended the University of Oklahoma as well as Moore Norman Technology Center. After college, Steven went on to earn several Information Technology industry certifications including certifications from Microsoft and Cisco.

Steven is married to Leslye Simmons, his high school sweetheart and they will be celebrating their 10 year anniversary next March. They have one child, their daughter Emma Grace Chase who is 7 years old and attends Cowboy Junction Christian School. She will be in the 2ndgrade this year.

Steven began his career in Information Technology at Moore Norman Technology Center in Norman, OK. He has worked for Northeast Oklahoma Electric Cooperative and also held the position of Director of Technology for Cushing Public Schools in Cushing, OK. In 2007, Steven, his wife Leslye and daughter Emma moved back home when Steven accepted the position of Information Systems Director for Craig General Hospital where he is still serving in this role. Steven will also begin teaching Information Technology courses this fall for Northeast Oklahoma Technology Center in Pryor, OK.

MEETING LOCATION!!!

Next week (July 21) we will be meeting at the FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH fellowship hall. The church is located at 321 W. Illinois in Vinita. Please enter the church on the SOUTH side of the building through the automatic doors. Our meeting time will still be 12:00 noon. (This is a one-time only change in meeting location, dueto Vacation Bible School at the Methodist Church. We will resume meeting at the Methodist Church on July 28.)
