Rotary Radio Night is alive and well. A huge thank you to Dee Robison and all who helped sell ads. Another big thank you to Bill Hodge for hosting the event again this year. Thanks to members OB, Jess, Gordon, Don, Eddy, Tim, Danny, The Mayor, Kelli and Dee for their DJ duties. Kelli brought some special snacks to make sure we did not suffer from hypoglycemia. All in all, Rotary Radio Night was a huge success.

Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK), a guest of Vinita Rotary and one of the steadfast conservatives in Congress, shown here with Vinita Rotary President Rodney Couch, spoke following a noon luncheon at the First United Methodist Church. A large group of citizens gathered for a Town Hall Meeting and heard Senator Coburn speak of his efforts to cut government spending by reforming earmarks, eliminating waste and duplication and promoting limited government under the Constitution. As a medical doctor, Senator Coburn is an articulate opponent of government controlled healthcare.

Rotary Donation to Healing Waters Project
The Vinita Rotary Club made a donation Wednesday to the Healing Waters Project, presented by Vinita Rotary Club President Rod Couch (left) to Rotarian Wayne Blackmon, who accepted on behalf of the project. Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc. is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled military personnel and veterans.

Vinita Rotarians Jeanne Bussey and Rod Couch present dictionaries Wednesday to Will Rogers third-graders Newley Michael and Kayla Rivera. Rotarians visited third-graders at Will Rogers to give each one a personalized dictionary to use at school and take home at the end of the year.
